Christmas charity concert
A charity concert, a venue steeped in history and an important message: on 10 December, the pop/rock band “Vielleicht Anna”, supported by Groß & Partner, gave a charity concert at the former Deutsche Bank site to raise funds for the children’s cancer aid charity in Frankfurt. The members of “Vielleicht Anna” were supported in their efforts by a number of other bands from Frankfurt, and the local audience loved them. All proceeds from the concert go to Verein Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V. (Help for Children with Cancer in Frankfurt).
This was the first time the annual charity concert was held at Junghofstraße, where 200 invited guests enjoyed the varied programme: in addition to pop and rock bands, including Sina Philipps, Joleen, Campaign by Clockwork, CoMa12 and Safe by Sound, there was a poetry slam by Sonia Isobell Papillion alias Isobell June, who is also involved in the Verein Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V. youth group.
“We are happy and proud that once again so many fans and partners supported us in our commitment and that this Christmas concert was so stunningly successful. We would like to thank Groß & Partner for making the premises available and for their generous donation”, says Patrick Link, singer of the band “Vielleicht Anna”. At the end of the evening, the guests and organisers were delighted by the donations totalling several thousand euros. The band also collected gifts for the sick children and teenagers under a Christmas tree.
“We are delighted to have been able to support this important cause and to have provided the musicians and fans with an appropriate setting. The hall at Junghofstraße was once a popular and important venue for music events in Frankfurt”, says Philipp Cronemeyer of Groß & Partner. Starting in 2017, a new urban quarter with four high-rise buildings will be built on the former Deutsche Bank site in Frankfurt’s city centre; the area has not been open to the public for more than 45 years. The plan is for the residential and office towers in the middle of the skyline to turn this central location in the city into a lively meeting place with a diverse mix of hotels, restaurants and retail outlets. The vibrancy of the charity concert set the scene for what this area will be about once the project has been completed.
